It’s the daily derp, news and uncommon sense.
Today in history, China invented sunglasses.
The Inuits, preciously, had used sun glare blockers that allowed vision thru slits in flattened walrus or caribou ivory. It did not protect the eyes fully.
The inventive Chinese used flat panes of smoky quartz to shield their eyes from glare. Thus completely protecting their eyes.
Sunglasses, or shades as a lot of us like to call them, are needed in this day and age of orange toned buffoonery.
Many things have been seen that cannot be unseen. The brutality of ICE, the starving in Gaza, the questionable beauty enhancement of Republican plastic surgeries.
It would be nice if we could pull the shades down.
But we cannot. We must see the world for what it is…a glaring vision of humanity…or inhumanity rather.
Jeff Bezos’ wedding, a shining example of wealth and opulence…and privilege that we, the consumers, gave him.
We fed the beast the local small businesses and the beast ate them up without leaving a crumb for employees.
We want to look at the world thru rose colored glasses for some sort of trickle down effect. No tears are being shed for us.
We want to cover our eyes from the glare of Jeff Bezo’s shiny bald head at his wedding that Trump did not attend. Maybe he wasn’t invited?
And that is throwing shade at the administration catering to billionaires.
If you got this far into the video, tell me the last time you replaced your sunglasses. Mine are 10 years old.
